The Israeli occupation’s genocide in the Gaza Strip continues unabated for the 93rd consecutive day, resulting in an appalling death toll and injury count among the Palestinian population.
The Gaza Ministry of Health reports that since the onset of this aggression, there have been 22,835 fatalities and 58,416 injuries, with women and children comprising 70% of the victims.
In the last 24 hours alone, the Israeli forces have carried out 12 massacres against families in Gaza, leading to 133 deaths and 250 injuries.
The Government Information Office in Gaza states that since October 7, 1903, the Israeli forces have perpetrated massacres claiming 22,835 lives, including 10,000 children, 7,000 women, 326 health workers, 45 civil defence personnel, and 109 journalists.
The number of missing persons has reached 7,000, predominantly children and women. During this war, 99 health workers and 10 journalists have been detained.
The health crisis is escalating, with 6,000 patients in dire need of medical treatment abroad. So far, only 650 have managed to receive treatment overseas, while 10,000 cancer patients are at risk of death.
Additionally, infectious diseases have affected 400,000 people due to displacement, with the total number of displaced individuals in Gaza reaching two million.
The Israeli army has dropped 65,000 tonnes of explosives on Gaza, resulting in the destruction of 134 government buildings, 94 schools and universities (completely), 295 schools and universities (partially), 130 mosques (completely), 240 mosques (partially), and 3 churches.
Furthermore, 69,000 housing units have been completely destroyed, 290,000 partially damaged, and 200 archaeological and heritage sites ruined.
Healthcare infrastructure has been severely impacted, with 30 hospitals and 53 health centres out of service, 150 health institutions partially destroyed, and 121 ambulances completely demolished.
Since October 7, the Israeli occupation forces have waged a devastating war on Gaza, resulting in catastrophic humanitarian and health conditions due to continuous bombardments and blockades of essential supplies like food, water, medicine, and electricity.
This ongoing aggression against Gaza is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, endangering civilian lives and property and causing immense suffering. It demands urgent and decisive international intervention to halt the aggression and protect civilians in Gaza.
The international community’s institutions must act to compel the Israeli occupation forces to adhere to international human rights laws and treaties. They should protect civilian rights and lives, prevent targeting, ensure safety, and hold those responsible for these war crimes in Gaza and elsewhere accountable.
