As the genocidal war by the Israeli occupation in Gaza reaches its 44th day, the death toll mounts, and the scale of destruction escalates. Thousands have perished or been wounded, with hundreds of thousands displaced from their obliterated homes.
The most recent statistics report 12,300 deaths, including more than 5,000 children and 3,300 women, along with the loss of 200 medical personnel, 22 civil defense staff, and 58 journalists. The government media office in Gaza reveals that the Israeli army has committed 1,300 massacres, with 30,000 casualties, predominantly women and children.
The reported 6,000 missing individuals, trapped under rubble or left unattended in targeted areas, underline the severity of the situation. More than 4,000 children are believed to be still under the rubble.
The Israeli aggression has destroyed 95 government buildings, 260 schools, and left 25 hospitals and 52 health centers non-functional. Ambulance services have been crippled with 55 vehicles targeted, and religious sanctuaries, including 77 mosques and three churches, have been damaged or destroyed.
Material damages are extensive, with 43,000 housing units completely demolished and 225,000 partially, impacting approximately 60% of Gaza’s residential structures.
This ongoing war has led to catastrophic humanitarian and health crises, driven by relentless bombings and blockades of essential supplies. The Israeli aggression violates international humanitarian law and human rights, posing severe risks to civilian lives and property, necessitating urgent and decisive international intervention for the protection of Gaza’s civilians.
The international community must enforce compliance with international laws and treaties by the Israeli forces, safeguard civilian lives and rights, and hold accountable those responsible for war crimes in Gaza.
