Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash has entered on Monday, 6 December 2021, day 111 of his hunger strike, amid growing concerns over his life.
Abu Hawash started suffering serious health complications including emaciation, frequent loss of consciousness, severe potassium deficiency, severe pains in his liver and heart, constant vomiting, and failure to sleep and walk.
The prisoner staged his hunger strike to protest his administrative detention, according to which he is held without charge or trial.
Ex-Hunger Strike Set Free
Palestinian political prisoner Kayed al-Fasfous was set free from Israeli detention on Sunday, 5 December 2021, after he concluded 131 days of hunger strike last month in protest against his illegal administrative detention.
On November 23, Fasfous ended his hunger strike after an agreement was reached to end his administrative detention.
He reportedly lost about 45 kg of weight during his hunger strike.
Imprisoned Cancer Patient in Critical Condition
The health condition of Palestinian prisoner Nasser Abu Hamid, who suffers cancer, has deteriorated.
Abu Hamid, who is sentenced to 7 life sentences and has been in prison since 2002, has recently been suffering from lung problems.
Abu Hamid’s condition has worsened due to the harsh prison conditions and the systematic and deliberate medical negligence.
