The Israeli occupation forces demolished today, 9 November 2021, three Palestinian-owned homes in occupied West Bank for being allegedly built without Israeli permit.
Local sources affirmed that occupation forces stormed Al-Walaja town, northwest of Bethlehem, in large numbers and started demolishing three houses belonging to the Abu al-Tin family.
Israeli forces also denied locals’ access to the area, fearing the outbreak of anti-occupation protests.
House demolitions have been central tools to facilitate Israel’s land appropriation and dispossession.
Israel has demolished or confiscated 22 Palestinian buildings in the occupied West Bank over the past two weeks, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Palestinian Territories “OCHA” said in a recent report.
In a report covering the period between October 19 and November 1, 2021, OCHA indicated that the demolitions have resulted in the displacement of 13 people, and harmed about 1,400 others who were unable to access services.
