The violations of the Israeli occupation and its settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank are escalating systematically. This includes settler attacks supported by the IOF, home demolitions, land confiscations, and arbitrary arrests.
On Saturday, five Israeli settlers attacked the Hay Al-Dhabat in Beit Furik town east of Nablus, where they burned three vehicles and an agricultural room, in addition to stoning houses.
The mayor of Beit Furik, Aref Hanani, stated that the settlers were armed and came from the Itamar settlement, which was built on the town’s lands.
The Hebron Governorate in the southern West Bank witnessed a series of systematic settlement attacks.
In Masafer Yatta, settlers placed a caravan on Palestinian lands near Khirbet Samri, with the aim of seizing the lands.
In Sadat Al-Thalabeh gathering, settlers dressed in IOF uniform stormed the area, where they detained citizens, punctured the tires of agricultural vehicles, and stole surveillance cameras.
Settlers also attacked Palestinian workers who were picking olives in Farsh Al-Hawa area west of Hebron, to terrorize residents and prevent them from using their lands.
These attacks are part of a series of attacks carried out by settlers with the support of the Israeli occupation authorities, as part of the expansionist policies aimed at imposing more control over Palestinian lands.
More than 720,000 settlers live in the Israeli settlements established on the lands of the West Bank, in flagrant violation of international law.
The IOF arrested 12 citizens from the West Bank between Friday evening and Saturday morning, including former prisoners.
The total number of detainees since the beginning of the occupation’s war on Gaza on October 7, 2023 has risen to more than 11,700 citizens, including women and children.
The arrests were accompanied by extensive raids, including the destruction of Palestinian homes and property.
It is worth noting that the Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza highlight the urgent need for international intervention to put an end to these practices, and require immediate action to hold the occupation accountable for its violations, and to protect the Palestinian people from the system of oppression and discrimination, which threatens the stability of the region and violates human values.
