On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested a Palestinian minor after breaking into Beit Fujar town, in Bethlehem, south of occupied West Bank.
Saddam Amjad Taqatqa, 16, was reportedly detained at a military checkpoint erected at the western entrance to the town.
The detainee was stopped and investigated at the checkpoint before being taken to a nearby detention centre.
Also on Tuesday, IOF troops stormed different areas of the occupied West Bank. At least 17 Palestinians were detained during the raids.
Earlier Monday, 36 Palestinians were rounded up in a large-scale raid campaign.
The IOF troops often carry out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.
Over the past year, the IOF arrested 8,000 Palestinians, including 1,300 minors and 184 women.
