The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continues target and kill Palestinians in the West Bank, coinciding with the war of extermination it is waging on the Gaza Strip for the 302nd day, using all types of weapons, without any international deterrence.
On Saturday, August 3, 2024, the IOF killed 5 Palestinians in a drone bombing of a car they were in in Tulkarm, northern the West Bank.
According to local medical sources; 5 Palestinians arrived dead at the hospital in charred bodies due to the vehicle catching fire, one of whom was identified as Haitham Noureldin Balidi, 25, from Tulkarm camp.
Following the bombing; the IOF stormed the site of bombing and surrounded the place with two bulldozers, and prevented citizens from reaching the vehicle, but the ambulance crews and citizens were able to retrieve the dead and transport them to the hospital.
The IOF carried out acts of sabotage in Tulkarm camp, while snipers were deployed on the roofs of houses, and besieged the camp.
Thus, the number of Palestinian deaths in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, rose to 600 people, during the wave of escalation coinciding with the devastating war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, including 144 children, in addition to 5,400 wounded, and about 9,890 detainees.
Various parts of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, witness daily raids and incursions into villages and towns by the IOF, accompanied by arrests, shooting and tear gas bombs thrown on Palestinians, in conjunction with repeated attacks by settlers.
The war of extermination waged by the occupation on the Gaza Strip, and the repeated aggression on the West Bank, constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, as it exposes the lives and property of civilians to grave danger, and causes them great suffering.
