In yet another crime that reflects the ongoing war waged against unarmed civilians, 25 Palestinians, including 14 waiting for humanitarian aid, were killed at dawn on Tuesday, following multiple attacks launched by the Israeli occupation forces on various areas across the Gaza Strip. This marks the 670th day of the ongoing campaign of genocide.
The attacks targeted tents sheltering displaced people in the Atyaf camp in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, as well as other tents in the Abu Ma’la area of Al-Nuseirat refugee camp. Homes and residential apartments in Gaza City were also hit, resulting in numerous casualties, most of whom were women and children.
In one of the deadliest strikes, the occupation forces bombed tents for displaced persons and aid gathering points in southern Khan Younis and central Gaza, killing 14 Palestinians in separate locations. The massacres continued with the shelling of an aid distribution centre in the Netzarim corridor, where another 6 were killed while queuing for assistance.
Since late May, the occupation has launched what it calls a humanitarian aid distribution mechanism through the “Gaza Relief Foundation”, a dubious body reportedly supported directly by the US and Israel. This entity operates aid distribution outside the supervision of the United Nations and international humanitarian organisations.
This policy has resulted in a horrifying toll: over 1,516 civilians killed and more than 10,000 injured, all of whom had simply gone to distribution points in a desperate attempt to obtain food or medical supplies.
Since 7 October 2023, the occupation has waged an unprecedented military campaign against the Gaza Strip, one that has gone far beyond conventional warfare into a full-fledged genocide, targeting every aspect of life with total disregard for international law and global humanitarian appeals.
The number of those killed or wounded has surpassed 210,000, the majority being children and women. Over 9,000 remain missing, and hundreds of thousands of displaced people are now living without shelter or food. As daily massacres continue, the humanitarian situation grows ever more dire, with the entire Gaza Strip teetering on the brink of famine.
What is happening in Gaza is not merely a war or armed conflict; it is a systematic policy of genocide, where starvation is weaponised as a method of killing, and displacement is used as a tool to dismantle Palestinian society. The targeted massacres of those waiting for aid reflect a deliberate strategy rooted in collective punishment.
Despite the clarity of this crime, the international response remains complicit through its silence, while Gaza becomes an open graveyard for a people abandoned to face a military machine that recognises no humanitarian or legal boundaries.
