On Monday, September 19, 2022, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished three Palestinian-owned houses in the Arab Rashaida Bedouin community, northwest of Jericho in the West Bank.
The Israeli occupation forces raided the community early today and demolished the three residential facilities owned by three local residents identified as Muhammad Ali Tarif Rashida, Imad Ali Tarif Rashida, and Amin Muhammad Mlehat.
The demolition operation came as part of the Israeli ethnic cleansing policy against the Bedouin communities in violation of all international and humanitarian conventions and norms.
The Arab al-Rashaida community is subjected to a fierce settlement attack, as it links between Bethlehem and its desert, which extends to the Dead Sea.
Its three thousand people are subjected to tight restrictions and almost-daily attacks including the demolition of water wells and residential structures and the confiscation of electricity generators and livestock, in addition to the heavy fines they are forced to pay.
Since 1948, the Israeli occupation demolished more than 500 Palestinian villages and towns.
In 2021, 862 Palestinian-owned houses were either demolished or destroyed in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces.
