On Sunday, June 12, 2022, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF), police, and Special Forces stormed Tira city and demolished a two-story building owned by the Palestinian citizen Samer Titi, under the pretext of being built on agricultural land without a building permit.
This is the second time in a short period that the occupation demolished a building owned by the Titi family.
Recently, the United Nations called on the occupation authorities to stop the deportation of Palestinians from their homes in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, stressing that “Under international law, Israel has a duty to protect the Palestinian population in the occupied territories and not to displace them.”
The United Nations called on the occupation authorities to “adopt the necessary steps to protect civilians, including Palestinian refugees.”
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, in 2021, the occupation demolished or confiscated 862 Palestinian buildings in Area C of the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
