The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished on Monday morning five Palestinian homes in Ar’ara in occupied Negev.
The five demolished homes belong to the al-Ghoul family. The demolition orders came as part of the Israeli restrictions and displacement policy against the Negev region.
Recently, several Palestinian towns in the 1948 occupied territories witnessed several demolitions targeting homes, shops, and industrial workshops under the pretext of being built without Israeli permits.
Ein Mahel, Jaffa, Shafa’amr, Qalansuwa, Kafr Yasif, Arara, Umm al-Fahm, Lod, Jaffa, Sakhnin, and Hurfish have all witnessed similar demolitions.
In 2022, the Israeli authorities granted construction permits to 12,934 settlement units in the West Bank, including Occupied Jerusalem, and demolished 318 Palestinian homes and 583 facilities.
The Israeli demolition policy represents a flagrant violation of international law and the human right to housing, which is considered one of the basic human rights.
