On Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished two Palestinian-owned houses in Al Baqa’a area, east of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
The Israeli occupation forces raided the area earlier today and demolished a three-story house owned by the local resident Azzam Abdel Aziz Jaber.
The IOF troops also demolished another house under construction consisted of three floors.
The occupation authorities also issued three stop construction orders against three Palestinian agricultural facilities belonging to the two brothers, Khalil and Ali Muhammad Riyash, and Rabi` Youssef Gharaba.
The Israeli practice of demolishing homes, basic infrastructure and sources of livelihoods continues to devastate Palestinian families and communities in East Jerusalem and the 60 per cent of the West Bank controlled by Israel, known as Area C.
Many of the people affected already live in poverty, and demolitions are a leading cause of their ongoing displacement and dispossession in the West Bank.
