On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) bulldozed swaths of agricultural land and demolished retaining walls and a water well in Battir town, west of Bethlehem.
Israeli bulldozers escorted by soldiers stormed al-Qusair area of the town and embarked on destroying several hectares of agricultural land belonging to local residents.
The bulldozers also razed retaining walls and a water well in the area.
13 Palestinians Arrested
The IOF troops also arrested 13 Palestinians after breaking into different areas in West Bank amid heavy fire of gunshots.
The Israeli Occupation Forces often carries out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.
Over the past year, Israeli forces carried out 4084 raid campaigns across the West Bank and Jerusalem and arrested 5,286 Palestinians from different parts of the occupied territories.
Israel currently holds 4,650 Palestinians, including 34 women, 160 children, and 500 administrative detainees in its jails.
Settler Attacks on Rise
Under IOF protection, a group of Israeli settlers closed the main entrance to al-Lubban al-Sharqiya town, south of Nablus, and prevented Palestinian movement in both directions.
During the attack, the settlers performed Talmudic rituals in flagrant provocation to the local residents.
In a separate incident, a horde of extremist Israeli settlers on the same day defiled Islamic historic sites in Awarta town, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
