In one of their continuous crimes in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli snipers on Monday killed seven Palestinians, injured fourteen medical personnel and displaced people in the vicinity of the Nasser Medical Complex in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Yunis.
Hundreds of medical crews, patients, and displaced people in the Nasser complex have been besieged for the 22nd day in a row amid acute food and water shortage. The ongoing blasts caused ceilings to collapse in the housing and operations departments and sewage water to flood the emergency department, impeding the crews’ ability to do their jobs.
Following a horrific Israeli massacre in the city of Rafah, at least 67 dead bodies were transferred to hospitals overnight and early today.
Medical teams cannot move between the departments of the health facility due to the Israeli attacks, which threaten the lives of 300 health personnel, 450 sick and wounded people, and 10,000 displaced people.
Medical sources state that Rafah’s medical and humanitarian conditions are extremely dire, that victims of the overnight bombing are more than the hospital’s can accommodate, while doctors are treating injured patients on the ground.
Meanwhile, Israeli snipers broke into surrounding homes and opened fire on the complex’s courtyards.
On Saturday morning, the Israeli occupation vehicles arrived at the northern gate of the Nasser Medical Complex, where they were stationed at the entrance to the nearby Jordanian field hospital, and opened fire and shells at the upper floors of the complex.
Of the 36 hospitals in Gaza, only 14 are partially operational, with nine located in the south and six in the north.
Since October 7, the Israeli occupation army has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left an enormous humanitarian catastrophe and a major health and environmental disaster.
The Israeli occupation destroyed the only supplies of fuel, electricity, water, and food for the people of the Gaza Strip at the start of the conflict by bombing bakeries, factories, stores, water stations, tanks, and other infrastructure.
The Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, as it exposes the civilians’ lives to extreme danger and causes them great suffering, which requires urgent and decisive international intervention to stop the aggression and protect civilians in the Gaza Strip.
