Today, Sunday, December 5, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) forced a Palestinian citizen to demolish his house in Wadi Al-Humus area in Sur Baher, southeast of Jerusalem.
The IOF forced Mohamed Amira to demolish his 165 meters house. The Israeli authorities had sent Amira notices some time ago to demolish his own house, otherwise the occupation municipality will demolish it, and he will bear the cost of the demolition.
“Wadi Al-Humus” is subjected to settlers attacks in the form of demolition of dozens of residential houses, as well as demolition notices and halting constructions.
The IOF are pursuing various forms of harassment of the Jerusalemite population to force them leave the holy city, and achieve the settlement expansion.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territories had recently documented the Israeli army’s demolition of 698 buildings and the displacement of 949 Palestinians in Area C of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, from the beginning of this year until October 18.
In July 2019, the Israeli occupation authorities demolished 11 buildings with more than 77 apartments in Wadi Al-Humus, most of which are located in areas classified as “A” that are under full Palestinian sovereignty.
