On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, a Palestinian young man was shot dead during after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Fari’ah refugee camp, south of Tubas City in the West Bank.
The Palestinian health ministry said that 21-year-old Yunis at-Tayeh was fatally injured in his heart when an Israeli soldier opened fire at him in Fari’ah camp.
Meanwhile, the IOF troops launched a large-scale raid and arrest campaign across the West Bank. At least 27 Palestinians were rounded up during the campaign.
The arrests were mainly reported in Hebron, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, Tubas, Ramallah and occupied Jerusalem.
The IOF troops often carry out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.
As of July 2022, 4,550 Palestinians are held in Israeli jails, including 27 women, 175 children, and 670 administrative detainees.
