While the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip continues for the 82nd day in a row, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continues its attacks on the cities and villages of the West Bank, resulting in the killing and injury of Palestinian civilians.
In the early hours of Wednesday, December 27, the IOF killed 6 Palestinians during raids on the Nour Shams camps in Tulkarm and Dheisheh in Bethlehem, bringing the death toll in the West Bank to 311 since October 7, 2023.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that 6 civilians arrived dead at Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, in addition to one with a serious injury.
Those killed are Ahmed Anwar Hamarsha, 19, Ahmed Abdel Rahman Issa, 19, Adham Muhammad Fahmawi, 23, Yazan Ahmed Wahid Fahmawi, 23, Fares Hossam Fahmawi, 29, and Hamza Ahmed Mustafa Fahmawi, 17.
A 24-year-old man was seriously injured in the head, and his condition is critical.
The IOF stormed Nour Shams refugee camp, deployed snipers on the roofs of a number of houses and buildings, opened fire on citizens, and bombed a site in the camp.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that the IOF obstructed the arrival of its crews into Nour Shams camp, and detained the crews for more than an hour, before allowing them to enter the camp and transport the injured and the bodies of the dead, adding that 3 were seriously injured from Nour Shams camp.
In Dheisheh camp near Bethlehem, 3 citizens were injured with IOF live bullets, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, which confirmed in a separate statement that the injured were taken for treatment in the hospital.
The IOF carried out raids on several towns in the West Bank, during which it arrested a number of citizens.
On a daily basis various parts of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, suffer from raids and incursions into villages and towns by the IOF which carries out arrests, and shoots live bullets and gas bombs at Palestinians, in conjunction with repeated attacks by settlers.
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, as it exposes the lives and property of civilians to extreme danger and causes them great suffering.
