On Saturday evening, the Palestinian youth, Ayed Azzam Mahmoud Salim, 20, was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Azzun, north of the West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Azzam died due to being shot with live bullets in the abdomen and chest.
The Israeli Occupation Forces fired bullets, tear gas and stun grenades at the town’s residents, critically wounding Salim with live bullets in the abdomen and chest, after which he was transferred to Darwish Nazzal Hospital in Qalqilya, where doctors announced his death.
The death toll of Palestinians since the beginning of this year has risen to 95, including 17 children and a woman, and a young man from the town of Hura in the Negev within the 48 lands.
It should be noted that international humanitarian law prohibits targeting civilians and subjecting them to attack, whether by groups or individuals, and affirms respect for their lives, physical and mental integrity, and their protection and humane treatment.
