On Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished a Palestinian house and an agricultural facility in Kafr al-Dik, west of Salfit.
The IOF troops violently stormed the town and forced a Palestinian family to leave their two-story house before embarking on demolishing it on the pretext of unlicensed construction.
The IOF detained a local young man in the town and released him after finishing the demolition of the house.
A nearby well was also destroyed during the raid.
Meanwhile, municipal demolition crews escorted by police forces stormed Anata town and embarked on destroying four structures, walls surrounding plots of land, and a container with its contents located on a land belonging to the Islamic Awqaf Administration in the holy city.
The Israeli practice of demolishing homes, basic infrastructure and sources of livelihoods continues to devastate Palestinian families and communities in East Jerusalem and the 60 per cent of the West Bank controlled by Israel, known as Area C.
Many of the people affected already live in poverty, and demolitions are a leading cause of their ongoing displacement and dispossession in the West Bank.
