As part of the ongoing Israeli crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) issued a “strongly worded” threat to immediately evacuate Al-Quds Hospital in the Gaza Strip in preparation for its bombing.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said on Saturday it received strongly worded Israeli threats to bomb the Al-Quds Hospital in the Gaza Strip, which is sheltering thousands of displaced women and children.
Since the early morning hours, the vicinity of Al-Quds Hospital has been witnessing continuous attacks.
The Israeli occupation forces on Friday widened its air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless airstrikes since Oct. 7. International aid agencies said they lost contact with staff in Gaza after Israel knocked out the internet and communications.
At least 7,703 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli attacks, including 3,595 children, and 19,734 wounded.
The Palestinian Health Ministry also revealed the killing of 105 medical staffers as a result of the ongoing holocaust, in addition to the destruction of 25 ambulances and the targeting of 57 health facilities in the ongoing Israeli bombardment.
The Ministry also said that “the Israeli occupation directly targeted health institutions and deliberately threatened to bomb all hospitals where 12 hospitals and 32 primary care centers were already put out of service as a result of the ongoing targeting.”
It further pointed out that “the Israeli occupation deliberately keeps the health system in a state of complete collapse due to the shortage in fuel and emergency medical needs.”
The Health Ministry raised alarm bells about turning hospitals into shelter centers, housing tens of thousands of displaced people in unsanitary conditions that have caused the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases.
The health authorities also said that the weak aid supplies did not help the health system and would lead to more victims, noting that “the fuel shortage threatens the lives of thousands of wounded and sick people who need life-saving services.”
The Palestinian Health Ministry called on all parties “to take urgent and effective measures to save the collapsed health system and restore its functions in treating thousands of sick and injured people.”
The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian and human rights law as it exposes civilians’ lives to extreme danger, which requires an immediate international intervention.
