A Syrian civilian was killed, and seven others were injured, including six Lebanese nationals and another Syrian, in a new act of aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation forces targeting the Al-Msayleh area in southern Lebanon on Saturday.
Lebanese medical sources confirmed that among the injured were two women, who were transported along with the other victims to hospitals in Sidon and Nabatieh for treatment. Some of the wounded remain in critical condition due to the intensity of the explosion.
This latest assault by the Israeli occupation constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly Article 51 of Additional Protocol I to the 1977 Geneva Conventions, which prohibits the targeting of civilians and the launching of indiscriminate attacks that fail to distinguish between military objectives and civilian populations.
