On Monday, April 25, 2022, Israeli Naval Forces arrested three Palestinian fishermen while sailing off Gaza shores.
The detained fishermen include the two brothers, Awad and Jabr Bakr, and Muhammad Abu Ghanem.
The Israeli forces also seized their fishing boat and took it to Ashdod port.
Fishing is one of the biggest industries in the Gaza Strip, a coastal enclave of almost 2 million inhabitants.
However, Israeli navy and army routinely open fire on Palestinian fishermen sailing within the six-nautical-mile zone, as well as farmers in farmlands along the border.
