In the West Bank, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), demolished a Palestinian house and notified 19 other residential and agricultural facilities of demolition.
A house belonging to the family of Palestinian citizen Ahmed Nedal Barghouth in Al Walaja village, west of Bethlehem, was bulldozed by the IOF under the pretext of building without a permit, while in the south of Hebron, the IOF ordered halting the construction of 19 homes and agricultural and facilities.
On Wednesday, the IOF demolished homes, several sheep pens and agricultural tin sheds, east of Yatta town.
The United Nations has recently called on the Israeli authorities to end the displacement of Palestinians from their homes in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, stressing that under international humanitarian law, “individual or mass deportation are prohibited, regardless of their motive.”
The United Nations called on the occupation authorities to “adopt the necessary steps to protect civilians, including Palestinian refugees.”
In 2021, 862 Palestinian buildings in Area C in the occupied West Bank have been demolished or confiscated, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
