The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on Lebanon, resulting in 816 deaths and around 2507 injuries from Monday to Saturday morning.
Lebanese Health Minister Firas Al-Abiad announced on Saturday afternoon that since the clashes between the Israeli occupation and Hezbollah began last October, 1640 deaths have been recorded, including 104 children and 194 women, along with 8408 injuries. He mentioned the presence of “martyrs under the rubble, missing persons, and body parts.”
According to various Lebanese official announcements, on Saturday, 33 people were killed and 195 were injured in Israeli airstrikes on various Lebanese areas.
The death toll of Lebanese citizens has risen from October 7, 2023, to 1673 dead and 8603 injured.
In addition to the casualties, the Israeli aggression has displaced 118,022 people as of Saturday, according to a report issued by the Lebanese government’s Disaster Risk Management Unit.
This number is expected to increase due to the ongoing “most violent and extensive” aggression by the Israeli occupation army since September 23, the largest since the start of the confrontations with Hezbollah almost a year ago.
The party and Palestinian factions in Lebanon demand an end to the genocide being carried out by the Israeli occupation with American support in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which has left more than 137,000 Palestinian dead and wounded, mostly children and women, and over 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and deadly famine.
It is worth noting that international law protects civilians in conflict zones, and directly targeting them is considered a serious violation, as well as targeting homes, necessitating a comprehensive investigation to hold those responsible for these crimes accountable.
