On Friday night, settlers shot a Palestinian young man dead, during an attack on Burqa village, east of Ramallah.
The settlers stormed Burqa village under the protection of the occupation forces, and assaulted Palestinian citizens, resulting in the killing of Qusai Jamal Maan, 19, and causing serious injuries to two others.
During the raid, settlers burned two cars and brought livestock with them, revealing their intention to seize the lands and establish a new settlement there.
The Israeli Ministry of National Security had recently made procedures for issuing weapons licence for settlers much easier, in accordance with the orders of the extremist Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. Issuing licences for possession of weapons has increased five times in one month, without 408 licences being issued in one day.
Since the beginning of this year, the IOF and Israeli settlers have killed 205 Palestinians citizens on their own lands, including 38 children and 11 women.
The killings carried out by the occupation forces and settlers must be faced with the application of serious measures to end these grave violations, bring those responsible to justice, adopt protection policies for potential civilians at risk, and provide the necessary support to families affected by these violations.
