The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) committed a new massacre in its continuous aggression against Jenin city and its camp early on Monday, killing seven Palestinians and injuring 27 others, seven of whom are in critical condition.
The victims included Samih Firas Abu Al-Wafa, Aws Al-Hanoun, Hussam Abu Dhiba, Nour Al-Din Hussam Marshoud, and Muhammad Muhannad Shami.
The aggression started after Israeli warplanes bombed a local home, killing the young man Samih Firas Abu al-Wafa and injuring several others. Several sites were also targeted during the attack.
Meanwhile, more than 150 Israeli armoured vehicles and military bulldozers stormed the city and cut off the roads linking the city with its camp. Israeli snipers were also deployed on the roofs of several houses and buildings overlooking the area.
The IOF also prevented ambulances’ access to the area to provide the injured with medical care. Big damage was also caused in the city after dozes of vehicles and roads were destroyed.
Along the same line, an Israeli drone targeted the vicinity of the Freedom Theater in Jenin camp, wounding a number of local residents, including a child.
The Israeli air and ground attack on Jenin is still ongoing till time of writing.
This aggression requires that human rights and international organisations take effective measures to hold those responsible for these violations to justice, provide protection to the civilians, and provide the necessary support to the affected families.
