Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) said that the current raids of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Al-Qibli Mosque, attacking worshippers, and firing sound and tear gas at them, reflect the Talmudic and Biblical approach of the Netanyahu government.
The current government is working on a policy to build the so-called Temple by emptying Al-Aqsa Mosque of worshippers at certain hours during the day and preventing prayers at night while allowing intensive incursions by the Temple movements to the mosque.
Furthermore, the government revealed its intention to offer sacrifices today, Wednesday, in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of the Jewish Passover.
AOHR UK warned of changing the identity and existence of Al-Aqsa Mosque, given the unprecedented solidarity and coordination between the Temple movements and the government of Netanyahu. This is represented in the IOF attacking worshippers to empty the Mosque of Muslims, while protecting hundreds of settlers during their storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, performing Talmudic prayers and performing provocative dances.
Attacks on worshippers had been taking place every year amid international silence, despite warnings that these attacks could ignite a religious war in the region.
The cries of the worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque during the attacks were heard throughout historical Palestine, promoting Palestinians to take to the streets, calling for the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque. This reflects the religious importance of Al-Aqsa Mosque to the Palestinians, Arab and Islamic world.
AOHR UK called on the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and all peace-loving movements to emphasise to the occupation government that Al-Aqsa Mosque exclusively belongs to Muslims and cannot be divided between two religions and that attacking it would result in serious implications for international peace and security.
