On Friday evening, August 25, 2023, the Palestinian youth from Jenin, Ezz El-Din Mahmoud Kanaan, 20, died of his injuries sustained by bullets of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in July.
Ezz El-Din was shot in the head while going to donate blood for those injured by the IOF bullets during its aggression on Jenin last month.
On July 3, 2023, the IOF stormed Jenin camp at dawn and killed 13 Palestinians, including 5 children, in the bloodiest raid since the Israeli invasion of the West Bank in 2002. The raid also left 140 civilians injured, 30 of whom were in serious condition.
Since the beginning of this year, the number of Palestinian killed has risen to 216, including 41 children and 11 women.
Immediate action must be taken by the international community to address these grave violations, ensure accountability for war crimes against the Palestinians, and bring perpetrators to justice.
The international community must also guarantee the human rights of Palestinians and support their rights to self-determination.
