The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed a Palestinian man as clashes erupted in Jenin, in the West Bank, at dawn Monday.
The victim was identified by the Palestinian Health Ministry as Ashraf Muhammad Amin Ibrahim, a 38-year-old officer in the Palestinian General Intelligence Service.
Ibrahim was struck by two explosive bullets, one in the abdomen and the other in the chest, according to a ministry press release.
Eight other Palestinians also suffered gunshot injuries, while six were detained during the raids.
158 Palestinians, including 26 children, have been killed by Israeli gunfire since the start of the year. 33 of the victims were killed during the latest Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
International humanitarian law prohibits targeting civilians and subjecting them to attack, whether a group or an individual, and stresses respect for their lives, their physical and mental integrity, and their protection and humane treatment.
