On Tuesday, September 5, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed the Palestinian young man Ayed Abu Harb and injured another after breaking into Nour Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem.
Medical sources confirmed that Abu Harb was directly shot in the head before being proclaimed dead.
A large number of IOF troops broke into the camp, accompanied by two military bulldozers, before storming a number of local homes and deploying snipers on their roofs.
Abu Harb died after being shot by live bullets in the head, while the second was directly hit by a live bullet in the upper left side, causing him serious head injuries after he was hit hard on the ground. He was later transferred to Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, where his health situation was described as stable.
The IOF prevented Palestinian ambulances from reaching the injured at first.
During the raid, the IOF destroyed the main street adjacent to the entrance to Nour Shams camp and a number of vehicles parked in Al-Mahjar Lane.
The military operation is the third in the span of two months, during which the IOF violently broke into a number of local homes and damaged infrastructure.
These serious human rights violations require urgent international intervention to hold those responsible to justice and provide protection to civilians during conflicts.
