The Israeli occupation’s attempts to forcedly displace Palestinians from their homes and lands never get stopped. They continue their efforts to drive Palestinians to desperately leave their houses seeking safety and peace. Palestinians in the West Bank are subjected to unlawful bilateral attacks by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers, which adds to their sufferings and makes their lives intolerable in their lands.
The Israeli occupation forces brutally assaulted the 5-year-old Deema Mohammed Rab’i and her father in their house in the village of Twani in Hebron, West Bank, and caused them serious injuries in the eyes.
Recently, the Israeli occupation forces continuously break into the Palestinians’ houses in the villages of the West Bank, causing damages and inflict serious injuries on civilians, and forcibly detain some of them. Fouad Alamour, the coordinator of the Committee of Protection and Resistance in the village of Yatta in Hebron, stated that the Israeli occupation forces broke into the houses there, and detained some local activists. He added that they detained Fadel Reb’i, a member of the village council, and his son.
Palestinians in the West Bank do not only suffer from the Israeli forces but also from the attacks and provocations of settlers. Today, the number of Israeli settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem is approximately 650 thousand, who attack and provoke the Palestinians in different ways attempting to evict them from their lands and homes. As they enjoy the protection and support of the Israeli occupation forces, they keep assaulting the Palestinians and destroy their agricultural lands.
Sa’id Zeidan, the Mayor of Dair Istya in Salfit, said that a group of Israeli settlers from Itamar intentionally pass from the Palestinians’ agricultural lands with their cattle, and cause great damage in the Palestinians plantations. Furthermore, they keep attacking the Palestinian farmers with stones, sticks, and pepper gas sprays, under the protection of the Israeli forces. They lately assaulted seven Palestinian farmers, who were taken to hospital to be treated.
Arab Organization for Human Rights in the UK denounces the unlawful actions of the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian civilians and the continuous attacks of the settlers. In addition, it calls for the international community to stop the violations of human rights acted against the Palestinians. As its silence to these violations raises many questions about its credibility in forcing laws and defending the oppressed.
