Press Conference to highlight the on-going death sentences, and flagrant ignorance of the Rule of Law in Egypt, hosted by Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK.
The focus will be on international support for a regime that encourages the complete derogation from the principle of the rule of law, where politically motivated trials are the norm, and the death sentence imposed for the most arbitrary of offences, leading to over 1600 individuals sentenced to death in the most appalling of circumstances.
Mass trials lasting minutes have become the norm and death sentences imposed without any regard for the facts of the case.
