85 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed, and 133 others injured, due to relentless Israeli bombardment across various areas of the Strip since dawn today, Thursday, March 20, 2025, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
This is the third consecutive day of ongoing Israeli aggression, after the Israeli side has breached the ceasefire agreement, amid warnings of a worsening humanitarian crisis.
The occupation forces resumed their war of extermination against Gaza at dawn last Tuesday, following a lull that lasted more than two months.
Since the renewed assault began, 506 Palestinians, mostly women and children have been killed, and 909 others wounded, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. The ministry also noted that these figures do not include many victims still trapped under the rubble, as rescue efforts remain severely hindered by the ongoing blockade imposed by the occupation.
This latest assault has coincided with the continued tightening of the siege on Gaza, leading to severe shortages of medical and food supplies and obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid, which constitute a blatant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits collective punishment and the targeting of civilians.
The repeated attacks on residential areas and medical facilities amount to war crimes, necessitating an urgent international response to protect civilians and halt the hostilities.
Gaza remains a site of ongoing civilian bloodshed, while the international community continues to ignore the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions and international agreements that uphold human rights during wartime. As the bombardment persists and the death toll rises, calls are growing for accountability for these violations and an end to the blockade, which is exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip.
