After the killing of the Palestinian activist Nizar Banat at the hands of PA security services, hours after his arrest, it became clear that these services pose a great threat to the lives and freedoms of citizens.
It is time to dissolve it and create a single police apparatus to protect and defend citizens against the attacks of the occupation forces and settlers.
The recurrent repressive practices of the PA’s security service amid escalation of Israeli violence in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip requires a strong stance from the international community to put an end to these violations.
Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK invites you to attend an online seminar entitled “The Authority’s Security Services is a threat to Citizens’ Liv
es and Freedoms”. The seminar will be joined by a number of activists and legal experts to discuss possible solutions that can be presented to the international community to end violations of these services and achieve peace and security for Palestinian citizens.
The seminar will be held in the presence of Mr. Erkki Tuomiaja- the former Finnish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
