The Israeli occupation authorities continue to detain Jerusalem figure, Sheikh Raed Salah, in harsh conditions in solitary confinement.
Sheikh Salah was transferred three weeks ago to the Ramon prison clinic, after he started suffering from severe headaches due to his conditions of detention.
Recently, the occupation authorities transferred Sheikh Salah from solitary confinement in Ramon Prison to another solitary confinement in Shikma Prison in Ashkelon in harsh conditions.
The so-called Israeli Supreme Court rejected Sheikh Raed Salah’s appeal against the decision of the Beersheba District Court on August 18, 2021, to continue his detention in solitary confinement until the end of his sentence.
The Israeli police arrested Sheikh Raed Salah in mid-August 2017, and accused him of committing 12 charges including “inciting violence and terrorism in his speeches and statements.”
Salah spent many sentences in different prisons of the Israeli occupation, the first of which was in 1981, the second in 2003, and the third in 2010, then he was arrested a year later in Britain, then re-arrested in 2016, and since 2017, he has been sought after under the so-called “constant file” .
