The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their ground invasion of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip for the tenth consecutive day, amidst a strict siege and starvation campaign.
On October 6, the IOF announced the start of the ground invasion in the northern Gaza Strip, in an attempt to occupy the area and displace its residents.
On Monday morning, 4 Palestinians were killed and about 40 others were injured in an Israeli attack on displacement tents in the “Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital” in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
The Israeli warplanes bombed a number of tents housing displaced Palestinians in the hospital yard, which led to the outbreak of a large fire that affected about 30 tents, and resulted in 4 deaths, including a woman and a child. 40 other people were reported injured.
Medical sources explained that the majority of the injured had second and third degree burns, and that the dead’s bodies were entirely blackened.
The Israeli bombing caused the tents, which are composed of nylon and other highly flammable materials, to catch fire. Medical personnel evacuated several injured individuals, including women and children, whose clothing caught fire.
Witnesses said it took the civil defense crews approximately forty-five minutes to bring the fires under control in the tents.
Similarly, an Israeli bombing in the Jabalia al-Nazla area targeted civilians, killing two Palestinians and injuring two more. Three displaced children in the Jabalia camp’s Abu Hussein School were taken to Kamal Adwan Hospital for medical treatement after being wounded by shrapnel from Israeli artillery shelling.
Witnesses also reported that an Israeli drone targeted a group of civilians near Abu Rashid Pool in Jabalia camp, resulting in several deaths and injuries.
The IOF keeps bombarding the towns of Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun, as well as the camp and town of Jabalia, with artillery as the army’s demolition efforts and explosions continue to reverberate.
The demolition efforts were focused on Beit Lahia and Jabalia camp, where the occupation army demolished numerous homes and dense smoke clouds emerged.
Israeli Quadcopter drones opened their machine guns in Al-Jalaa Street and the Saftawi area north of Gaza City.
The bodies of the dead are scattered across the streets and roads, as well as beneath the debris of destroyed homes, because ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach and retrieve them while the Israeli occupation army continues to bombard and besiege the northern Gaza Strip and blocks the entry of food, water, and fuel.
Since October 7, 2023, the IOF continued to carry out a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip, which has led to a catastrophic deterioration of the humanitarian and health conditions, as a result of the continuous shelling and the tight siege on the arrival of basic supplies of food, water, medicine, and electricity.
