Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) is organizing an urgent webinar titled: “ The Generals’ Plan: Systematic Erasure of Life in the Northern Gaza Strip,” to be held on Thursday, 17 October 2024, at 17:00 London Time (12:00 New York Time).
For over a year, the Israeli occupation has intensified its efforts to dismantle every aspect of life in Gaza. Recent escalations have blocked essential humanitarian aid, subjected residents to severe hunger and thirst, and inflicted deliberate violence on civilians, including children. Under the so-called “Generals’ Plan,” Israel has continued its targeted campaign, executing widespread displacement through relentless airstrikes and enforcing complete isolation.
The delay by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in issuing arrest warrants for Israeli leaders remains an alarming factor, as justice hangs in the balance amid these ongoing atrocities. The international community must take a stand and insist on accountability for the perpetrators.
Key Discussion Points Include:
- The Generals’ Plan: Insights into Israel’s systematic efforts to depopulate northern Gaza through intensified attacks and forced displacement.
- Humanitarian Blockades and Starvation as Tactics: The strategic use of starvation, deprivation of water, and blockade on humanitarian aid to coerce displacement.
- The ICC’s Role and Accountability: Assessing the delays in ICC actions and the urgent need for accountability for those responsible for these crimes.
- Impact on Civilians, Especially Children: Exposing the calculated attacks on children and the long-term damage to Gaza’s population.
- Global Responsibility and the Path Forward: Exploring the international community’s role in preventing further atrocities and enforcing justice.
Join us for this critical event to better understand the situation in Gaza and the urgent need for international action and accountability.
