In light of recent tragic events, Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) is convening a crucial webinar titled “Gaza: Ending Arms Trade to Israel & Protecting Humanitarian Workers,” scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2024, at 5 PM London time. This webinar is prompted by the heartrending incident where Israeli forces targeted a humanitarian aid convoy, resulting in the loss of seven dedicated employees of the World Central Kitchen (WCK), alongside countless other casualties among international relief workers in the region.
The IOF has committed huge crimes with documented evidence against children, women and defenceless civilians that should have required a serious deterrent action to be taken to put an end to these atrocities, but instead, the West continues to fuel the Israeli killing machine with weapons and military ammunition, financial, political and logistical support, despite the UN resolutions.
Our webinar seeks to convene experts, activists, and voices of conscience to address the urgent necessity of cutting arms trade to Israel, advocating for the protection of humanitarian missions, and ensuring accountability for crimes against humanitarian workers. The discussion will focus on the implications of these acts for global humanitarian efforts, the international community’s role in perpetuating such violence through arms trade, and strategic measures to prevent future atrocities.
