On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested dozens of Palestinian citizens during raids on homes in different West Bank areas.
A total of 35 Palestinians were detained during the pre-dawn raid campaign.
At least 20 arrests were reported in Al-Amari refugee camp, south of Al-Bireh city. The detainees were identified as: Muhammad al-Atout, Hamada Abu Nabil, Kifah Tamliah, Mujahid Jad al-Haq, Hamza Hammad, Hamza Aqel, Fathi al-Salami, Omar Abu Attia, Ahmad Barash, Muhannad Samara, Mahmoud al-Sakhwi, Hamada Hammad, Mahmoud Rita, Muhammad al-Shahri, and Awad. Al-Nabali, Abdul-Sakhwi, Muhammad al-Sakhwi, Hussein Abu Radwan, Muhammad Salama, and Muhammad al-Lulu.
A local young man also suffered different injuries after being attacked by Israeli police dogs during the raid.
Two other Palestinians were detained in Nablus, including the prisoner Nabil Ahmed Awad’s father, while the 23-year-old Khalil Majdi Abu Samra was arrested in Qalqilia.
In Bethlehem, the IOF arrested eight young men and summoned four others for investigation.
The detainees include: Sami Ali Sabah, 28, Mahmoud Kamel Sabah 26, Muhammad Ali Sabah, 25, Amjad Nayef Sabah, 25, Ahmed Khaled Sabah, 27, Mamoun Salim Sabah, 28, Muhammad Khalaf Sabah, 32, and Yassin Yousef Sabah, 25.
The four summoned young men include: Muhammad Salim Sabah, Muhammad Salim Sabah, Ibrahim Fouad Sabah, and Ahmed Riyad Sabah.
Three more arrests were carried out in Occupied Jerusalem. The detainees were later identified as Bilal Al-Jabari, Musa Salim, and Nimr Abu Riyad
The IOF troops often carry out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.
Over the past year, the IOF arrested 8,000 Palestinians, including 1,300 minors and 184 women.
