On Monday, February 14, 2022, a Palestinian minor was killed, and several others were wounded when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at them during confrontations in Silat al-Harithiya town, west of Jenin.
According to the Palestinian health ministry, 17-year-old Mohamed Abu Salah died after he was shot directly in his head during clashes between young men and Israeli soldiers in the town.
Four others also suffered from serious bullet injuries, while the IOF prevented Palestinian movement in the town.
Earlier in the day, the IOF blocked all the roads and entrances leading to the town before storming it.
The clashes with local youths started after a large number of Israeli troops stormed Silat al-Harithiya.
Local sources said that Israeli troops with bulldozers stormed the town, occupied the rooftops of some homes and raided the house of prisoner Mahmoud Jaradat, adding that the IOF mapped Jaradat’s house before detonating it.
Last December, Israeli authorities notified four Palestinian homes with demolition in the town, including Jaradat’s house
