Israeli occupation forces have killed a Palestinian child, Odeh Muhammad Odeh, 17 years-old.
Odeh was shot in Medea, west of Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that “a 17 year-old boy arrived at the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah with a bullet wound to his chest, fired by occupation soldiers in the village of Medea, near the Israeli separation wall, to the west of Ramallah.”
Doctors attempted to save his life, the ministry added.
Eyewitnesses have said that Ouda Muhammad Ouda, who is from Medea, was shot by an occupation forces’ patrol near the separation wall, built on lands that belonged to Medea residents.
No preceding confrontation is being reported.
Local sources indicate that occupation forces fired live bullets at a group of children including Ouda whilst they were playing near the separation wall.
Medea is located 25 km west of Ramallah, with a population of approximately 1,600 people. The illegal settlements of Modi’in and Hashmonaim are built across parts of the village’s historic lands.
Odeh is the fourth Palestinian to be killed by Israeli occupation bullets over the last 24 hours.
Ayman Mahmoud Muhaisen, 21 years-old, was killed this morning (2 June) by Israeli occupation forces whilst they stormed Dheisha refugee camp, south of Bethlehem.
Last night, the 24 year-old Bilal Awad Kebha was killed after being shot by Israeli forces in the chest and legs, whilst they stormed the town of Yabad, south of Jenin.
And, yesterday, journalist Ghufran Warasneh, 31 years-old, was killed after being shot by occupation forces.
