On Saturday dawn, Israeli occupation naval forces launched several attacks against Palestinian fishermen at the sea near the Gaza Strip, injuring two with rubber bullets and arresting four others, as well as destroying many boats due to heavy shooting.
The injured were transferred to Al -Shifa Hospital in Gaza, while no information about the other arrested fishermen has been revealed yet.
It is worth noting that daily assaults against the fishermen became a systematic policy of the Israeli occupation to empty the sea from Palestinian fishermen. In doing so, it arrests, shoots, destroys the equipment and confiscates boats.
Since the beginning of this year, the occupation naval forces have arrested 39 fishermen and confiscated nine boats, including two large yachts.
About 4000 people work in the fishing sector, and a thousand others working in fishing-related professions were greatly affected due to these attacks.
