This morning, Wednesday 9 November, a Palestinian citizen was killed and three were seriously wounded during Israeli forces’ storming an area known as Maqam Yusef east of Nablus, in the north of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent has said in a statement that the deceased citizen is Mahadi Muhammad Hamidallah Hashaash, 17 years old, from the Balata refugee camp, outside Nablus.
Hashaash died from wounds sustained during a raid conducted by occupation forces and settlers in the Maqam Yusef area, the organisation has confirmed.
The Red Crescent added that its emergency vehicles provided treatment to three citizens, including one who had suffered serious gunshot wounds, before transporting them to a hospital for further care.
Two other citizens were injured as a result of occupation forces’ use of rubber-tipped bullets, and 57 citizens suffered the effects of tear gas, the organisation added.
Cities across the occupied West Bank now suffer near-daily raids by Israeli occupation forces and settlers, with attacks leading to the detention, injuring, and killing of Palestinian citizens.
International human rights law prohibits attacks against civilians and demands that their lives and security be respected.
