On Monday, January 31, 2022, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested several Palestinian citizens during raids on homes in different West Bank areas.
A total of 28 Palestinians were detained during the pre-dawn raid campaign.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrested Muhammad Abd al-Salam Rabei, from the town of Beit Anan, and summoned Ahmed Bakr Rabei for investigation after breaking into his family house.
Several Palestinians were also taken prisoners during IOF raids in different areas of Jericho province, including: Marouf Fahd, Muhammad al-Sardeh, Muhammad Balo, and Ammar Shaqbu’a.
Other local homes were also stormed during the raid.
Five young men were also rounded up by the IOF in Nablus. The detainees were identified as Muslim Marei, Moamen Jamal Maree, Saher Ammar Maree, Mohsen Mahmoud Maree, and Mahmoud Abdel Karim Maree.
In Ramallah, the Israeli forces arrested Zaid Matar and Mahdi Al-Zaher from Al-Jalazun camp, and Qusai Awad Al-Masry, Khaled Muhammad Al-Masri, and Faris Shalash, from Shuqba town.
Muhammad Al-Wana, Abd Al-Turb were arrested in Jenin, while Ahmed Shalaldeh, Tawfiq Qandil, and Bashir Salama Al-Hroub were arrested in Hebron.
Two other youths, identified as Muhammad Khaled Thawabta and Mahmoud Abdullah Taqatqa, were detained in Bethlehem.
The IOF troops often carry out detention raids against Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, claiming to arrest wanted Palestinians.
Over the past year, Israeli forces arrested 8,000 Palestinians, including 1,300 minors and 184 women.
