Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) emphasised that the brutal and sadist treatment of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) towards Palestinian prisoners and citizens reflect the sick mentality of the security sector and the Israeli leadership, which has been issuing hateful, degrading racist statements on the Palestinians, and proudly sharing it on social media.
On November 10, 2023, a video was shared on Israeli social media showing the IOF using a blindfolded detainee as a human shield as they stormed Al-Fawar camp in Hebron. Israeli accounts also published a video of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons, describing them as “talking animals.” It stressed that the prisoners are handcuffed and blindfolded throughout the day and deprived of food and water in order to extract information from them.
On November 10 evening, a video was also shared showing the IOF abducting citizens from the Shati camp and transferring them to an unknown destination during the raids. Israeli tanks also ran over Palestinian citizens during the raid.
Since the start of the aggression on October 7, the Israeli occupation has committed all kinds of humanitarian crimes in Gaza, the West Bank and the occupied territories, which resulted in the killing of more than 160 Palestinians in the West Bank, in addition to injuring and arresting others.
On November 9, 2023, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that its ambulance in the Jenin camp was targeted, resulting in the injury of a paramedic with live bullets in the back. The IOF also arrested about 65 Palestinians, bringing the number of prisoners since the beginning of the war to 1,430 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank. In addition to this, the IOF bulldozes streets and demolishes homes with its residents inside during the raids.
Furthermore, the IOF continues to restrict the movement of the Palestinians in the occupied territories and prevents them from expressing their rejection of the genocide in the Gaza Strip or expressing their solidarity with the victims. It also imposes unprecedented restrictions on accessing Al-Aqsa Mosque, and clashes with those who want to perform the Friday prayers inside it. On Friday, November 10, only 4,000 worshippers were allowed into Al-Aqsa Mosque, while the IOF attacked the rest of the worshippers in the streets of the Old City.
The unprecedented bloodshed of the Palestinians in the West Bank and all Palestinian cities comes as a result of the silence of the international community on the inhumane practices of the occupation which aims at forcibly displacing Palestinians from their land via Israeli terrorism, killing and all other crimes, thus expanding the violence and posing a threat to international peace and security.
The inability of the international community in breaking the arrogance of the Israeli occupation and the countries supporting it is a decline of humanity, prevailing the rule of the jungle, and turning the international law into a useless tool.
AOHR UK appeals to all the peoples of the world who believe in justice, freedom, equality, and the right of peoples to life and self-determination; to those who voiced their rejection of the genocide of civilians in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of this brutal aggression, to continue pressuring their governments to stop supporting the Israeli occupation in crushing the Gaza Strip and the rest of the Palestinian cities and villages.
