A Palestinian worker in the West Bank was killed on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) attacked him.
The worker Hassan Rabhi Mansiyah died after being chased by IOF soldiers while on his way to work. They arrested and assaulted him in Al-Dhaheriya, south West Bank, before throwing him from the top of a building and killing him instantly.
His father stated that the IOF stopped a car Hassan was in with a group of young men, in Al-Dhahiriya town, chased him into a building, and arrested him after severely beating him, then threw him from the roof of the building.
Since the beginning of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, the IOF and settlers escalated their attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, leaving 491 dead and about 4,900 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The execution of Mansiyah is a horrific illegal act, and a blatant violation of human rights and international humanitarian laws, and requires an independent and transparent international investigation into the crime to hold those responsible accountable in accordance with international laws.
This heinous crime indicates the urgent need to provide security and protection for the Palestinians. The international community and international human rights NGOs must have a serious stance, stop violence and bring justice for the Palestinians.
In the past years, the IOF has increased its tendency to open fire on Palestinians and kill them in cold blood, without them posing any danger. This was increased after leaders of the IOF issued new orders to its soldiers allowing them to fire on Palestinians throwing stones and Molotov cocktails, even if their action had stopped, and while withdrawing without posing any danger to the soldiers, and without having to differentiate between children and adults.
