On Sunday, September 12, 2021, an Israeli warplane destroyed three poultry farms under construction in the city of Rafah, southern Gaza, as part of raids targeting different areas in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian citizen Hassan Abu Jazar, owner of one of the three targeted poultry farms, said he was “horrified” when he saw the extent of the destruction to his farm.
In media statements, he added that he had recently begun re-establishing this farm after it was completely destroyed before during the last Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip last May, in which 260 Palestinians were killed and thousands were injured.
Abu Jazar pointed out that “the three farms, which were equipped with chicken and other supplies, were targeted and completely destroyed,” noting that these farms are “the only source of income for four Palestinian families, whom are left today with nothing.
The farmer denounced the targeting of civilian and economic facilities, stressing that they “do not pose any danger or threat to the occupation.”
Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK has repeatedly denounced the escalating brutal practices of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, calling on the international community to take practical measures to stop the violations and crimes of the Israeli occupation forces and settlers against the Palestinian people.
