Arab Organisation for Human Rights in the UK (AOHR UK) criticised the propaganda the Israeli occupation has been trying to promote since its incursion into Gaza, as it shared photos of light weapons in rooms attached to schools or basement rooms in hospitals, claiming that it was used for holding hostages. AOHR UK described the attempts to legitimise the targeting of these places and the killing of children, women, and injured inside it as foolish propaganda.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) faces no accountability, therefore it commits all sorts of crimes and fabricate evidence since the beginning of October 7, when it claimed that its genocide of the Gaza Strip was caused by rape and the beheading of children, a story which has been proven false.
The Israeli propaganda would need to prove that every civilian building, every residential area, every hospital and school it destroyed was a military target, yet none of the efforts to promote such false propaganda would be able to justify the extermination war and the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe it caused.
The international humanitarian community cannot be fooled by these superficial narratives that do not respect people’s intelligence. The history of this army, since it was gangs of Palmach, Stern, Haganah, and Irgun, has used false narratives to justify its crimes and massacres of civilians.
The massacres committed by Israel in its war on the Gaza Strip cannot be obscured by pitiful and illogical narratives. For example, assuming their story is true, claiming that there was a room in the basement of a hospital should have prevented the IOF from targeting it in order to preserve the lives of the Israeli hostages! This story condemns the occupation for deliberately bombing the places of its own prisoners to get rid of them, as more than 50 of them were killed as a result of the bombing, according to media reports.
The international humanitarian law clearly states that these civilian facilities are protected. According to the Israeli narrative that assume that these places are military basis, none of their accounts have given evidence that these facilities have been turned into military basis from which missiles are being fired or from which hundreds of fighters emerge.
The death of more than 12,000 people, most of whom are women and children, in addition to the thousands of injured, the massive destruction of housing, service and health facilities, and the displacement of 70% of the population, is clear evidence of the criminal nature of this army, and it incriminates the occupation for the genocide against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
AOHR UK called on the international community not to believe these false narratives, which aim to confuse people and divert their attention from the massacres committed by the occupation on a daily basis.
Efforts must all be aiming at stopping the barbaric aggression on the Gaza Strip, sending humanitarian relief, and forming a special court to prosecute and hold those responsible for these matrices and their supporters accountable.
