The Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces arrested the ex-prisoner, Osama Yahya Abu Al-Rub, from the town of Qabatiya southwest of Jenin.
Local sources reported that PA security forces kidnapped Abu al-Rub, on Thursday evening, from his workplace and took him to an unknown detention centre.
Osama Abu al-Rub, 49, is an activist in Qabatiya Governorate. He spent four and a half years in the Israeli prisons.
For their part, the political prisoner Ahmed Ezzedine Amarneh’s family called on the human rights institutions to intervene for his release from PA jails as he is continued to be arbitrarily arrested for the sixth day in a row.
Amarneh, 28, is a father of two children. His father and brother were also detained in Israeli jails.
Human rights groups have accused the Palestinian security forces, which receive international funding, of routinely arresting and torturing peaceful critics and opponents to crush dissent.
