On Sunday, May 8, 2022, two Palestinians were killed at the hands of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the occupied West Bank.
A 17-year-old Palestinian teen was shot and killed by an Israeli security guard at Tekoa settlement, illegally built eastern Bethlehem, on Sunday night.
The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the martyr as Motasem Attalla, 17, from Harmala area in the Bethlehem governorate.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian young man from Gaza was killed south of the West Bank city of Tulkarem.
The Health Ministry said in a brief statement that the IOF shot and killed the young man, Mahmoud Aram near the Jbara checkpoint, south of Tulkarem, while heading to his workplace within the Green Line.
Occupation forces have significantly escalated the killing and repression of Palestinians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem during the past several days, following a green light from the political officials in Israel.
The Occupation Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has issued a written order to grant “all security forces full freedom” to advance assaults on Palestinians.
In December 2021, the Israeli occupation army has allowed its soldiers to shoot at Palestinians throwing stones and Molotov cocktails.
The decision is not the first of its kind. It came as part of the Israeli systematic execution policy throughout the past decades where thousands of Palestinian stone-throwers were shot killed by Israeli fire.
